CUbiC currently has plans to produce a larger FacePix(1000) database, which will contain faces of 1000 people. These face images will be of higher resolution than those in the FacePix(30) database. The FacePix(30) License Agreement: Conditions and terms of use

The following terms and conditions govern your use of the FacePix(30) database and the contents therein. By using this database, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated herewith:
  • © 2005 CUbiC, Arizona State University. The FacePix(30) database is copyrighted material, and is the property of Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing (CUbiC) at Arizona State University.
  • As a step in the FacePix(30) download process, you will be required to (1) provide your name and contact information, (2) affirm that this contact information is correct, and (3) verify your acceptance of this License Agreement.
  • Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person who has downloaded a copy of the FacePix(30) database, to use it for non-commercial research or educational purposes.
  • The FacePix(30) database, and the individual images of which it is comprised, may not be redistributed, or incorporated into a larger database for public distribution, except with prior written permission from CUbiC at Arizona State University.
  • In accordance with "fair use", small numbers of images from the FacePix(30) database may be used in academic web pages and research or educational publications without altering the original content of those images, except as is necessary to illustrate or explicate the experimental methods or algorithms used.
  • If results of experiments that employ images from the FacePix(30) database are published, these publications must acknowledge the use of the "CUbiC FacePix(30) database", and reference the following papers:
